Issue 8
August 2019

In the next issue of Future Cruise, we take a look at CocoCay - Royal Caribbean’s private island retreat in the Bahamas - which offers travellers everything from serene sandy beaches to a record-breaking water park.

After a Church of Scientology-owned cruise vessel was plagued by a measles outbreak in May, we ask whether cruise operators are prepared to combat disease on their vessels. We also examine the rise of third-party booking sites in cruise, and ask operator Quark Expeditions about their new Polar Promise sustainability initiative.

Finally, we find out more about the first on-board rollercoaster ever seen on a cruise ship, and conduct a poll of our office to find out what the younger generations want to see happen in the cruise industry before they set sail.
