about us

YSA Design

YSA Design is one of the world’s leading cruise ship design studios. Headquartered in Norway, YSA has been creating unique, spectacular and functional ship spaces for over 30 years to satisfy aesthetic, operational and sustainability imperatives.

YSA is renowned for its work in ship exteriors and interiors, developing the visual lines that highlight the owner’s brand and image. Our designers and architects work closely with each client to bring their ideas to life through powerful visualisations that include 3D renderings and animation.

We fulfil special design requirements, optimise spatial layouts, source materials to create the desired ambiance, and can offer expertise in GA development and even act as lead coordinating architect in complex design projects. What also sets us apart is the way we see art as integral to our design philosophy. Creativity with both art and design at its core can push at the boundaries of both and realise the spectacular.

In all cases, working with YSA Design makes it easier for owners to take decisions, which is why our reference list includes MSC Cruises, Costa Cruises, Holland America Line, Viking River Cruises, Seabourn, Disney, Silversea, Regent Seven Seas, and P&O Cruises - not to mention the King of Norway.
